The VALLNORD UCI World Cup has officially started today. The sun is shining, what offers mild temperatures and is leaving the tracks in perfect conditions for the competition. Yesterday, the official presentation of the event was held in the press centre of the Pal ski resort, with the attendance of Mr. Victor Filloy, Sports State Secretary; Josep Maria Camp, VALLNORDCEO; Emili Perez, president of the Andorra's Cycling Federation and Albert Balcells, Ocisport CEO, company responsible for the organization of this UCI World Cup. In this presentation, two important issues were stated : the quality of the Bike Park VALLNORD and the international impulse that this UCI World Cup will give to its facilities. The four companies were very satisfied of how this event will revitalize touristically and economically La Massana areaand Andorra, proving that this country offers possibilities all through the year.

A competition that, for the first time this year, joins the three official disciplines that are included in this sport (XCO, DH 4X). VALLNORD will enjoy the attendance of 85 teams, coming from 35different countries. This means more that 540 riders. At this time of the day, the first training sessions are being held in the XCO and DH circuits, while the 4X will be opened from the 16:00 hours. From 14:00 to 15:00 the DH circuit will be only available for the 80 best men and the 20 best women, what will give us a first idea of who the riders feeling more confident in the DH track.
